Calibration Process of Electromagnetic Flow Meters
The calibration process for electromagnetic flow meters ensures measurement accuracy and compliance with metrological standards. First, the instrument is pre-inspected for appearance, wiring, and power supply stability. Then it is connected to a standard calibration bench with reference flow meters and circulating fluid.
Under different flow rates, including low, normal, and full flow, actual readings are recorded and compared with standard values. Zero drift, linearity, and output signals such as 4–20 mA and pulse are tested and adjusted accordingly. Environmental factors like conductivity and temperature are compensated during calibration.
After adjustment, a repeatability test is performed to verify stability. A calibration certificate is issued if errors fall within the allowed range. Regular calibration maintains accuracy, reduces measurement deviation, and ensures reliable operation in water supply, wastewater treatment, and industrial process monitoring.
