Calibration Engineer Working on Flow Meter Calibration
Behind every accurate flow meter is a careful calibration process.
At our flow meter production facility, calibration engineers are working on the testing and calibration of electromagnetic flow meters before they are released for shipment.
On the Calibration Bench
During calibration, the flow meter is connected to the calibration system and tested under controlled flow conditions.
The engineer monitors the actual flow rate and compares it with the value indicated by the flow meter. Multiple flow points can be tested to evaluate the measurement performance across the required operating range.
What Does the Engineer Check?
Rather than simply checking whether the display shows a flow value, the calibration engineer pays attention to several important parameters:
Flow rate
The actual reference flow is compared with the measured value.
Measurement deviation
The difference between the reference value and the meter reading is evaluated.
Output signal
For flow meters equipped with signal outputs, the corresponding output is checked during testing.
Zero stability
The instrument is checked under zero-flow conditions to ensure stable zero measurement.
